We invite you to take advantage of the exceptional training offered at the 2017 SDP Conference and Training. Our excellent courses are taught by recognized leaders in the field of depreciation. Over 90% of responses to our course evaluations rate our courses “good” or “excellent”.
In response to your requests, we continue to offer our expanded class focusing on engineering aspects of life analysis. And new this year we have added a class in Pricing of Retirements. We have also added a new class on Sunday in which you will examine in detail The Impact of Depreciation on Revenue Requirements, including short term and long term implications on your capital recovery policy. Also included on Sunday is a discussion of depreciation strategies and stranded cost recovery.
Our expert faculty will gladly share their extensive experience with you in courses with real-world applications. Trainees report that the skills acquired are readily transferable to one’s job. And the information is excellent preparation for the CDP exam. As an added benefit, trainees and instructors gather at informal evening receptions that provide valuable networking opportunities.
We have training to fit your needs! We offer four courses concurrently after the conference. Depreciation Fundamentals is an excellent overview course focusing on the major topics related to depreciation. In response to your requests, in Life and Salvage Analysis we have expanded the Gross Salvage and Cost of Removal class and added the new class Pricing of Retirements. In Analyzing the Life of Real-World Property, we have expanded the class probing the engineering reasons that cause assets to fail. Our final course walks you through Preparing and Supporting a Depreciation Study. These four concurrent courses are offered from Tuesday at 1:00 PM to Friday noon.
And there’s more! On Sunday afternoon before the Conference you may choose between two courses. Introduction to Depreciation offers a brief overview of the major depreciation topics. Depreciation and Ratemaking Issues is a higher-level course that focuses on capital recovery, revenue requirements, and current issues related to depreciation and includes our new class The Impact of Depreciation on Revenue Requirements. These two concurrent courses are offered Sunday 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Dr. Susan Jensen, CDP, will again coordinate the SDP Training.
The CDP exam will be offered twice during the conference and training week. Test takers may not take the exam more than once in the week and payment is due prior to sitting for the exam.
You must be an SDP member to take the exam and qualify for the CDP.
