The Society of Depreciation Professionals Society (SDP) was formed in 1987, in response to a need for objective and accurate estimates of equipment life, salvage and cost of removal for capital intensive industries. Each year since 1987, the Society has provided membership, training and professional certification opportunities to individuals seeking an in-depth understanding of capital recovery through the art of depreciation analysis.
The Society has held its Annual Conference and Training in varied locations throughout the United States each fall. The Conference provides depreciation professionals a unique opportunity to network with other depreciation professionals and hear leaders in the field of depreciation discuss current trends. Our renowned SDP training ranges from an overview of depreciation basics to life and salvage analysis courses with real-world applications to preparing and defending a depreciation study.
Throughout the year, members receive SDP Newsletters in addition to a SDP Current Issues Newsletter, both which address recent trends occurring in the field of depreciation.
