Join SDP for our 32nd Annual Conference and Training in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! Our highly-rated program is comprised of three parts: a day-long training on Sunday featuring two courses, a one and a half day conference on Monday and Tuesday featuring depreciation related topics and speakers, and a four-day extended training for a deeper dive.  

Hotel

SDP has negotiated a reduced room rate of $189/night at the Wyndham Philadelphia Historic District! The hotel is located in downtown Philadelphia and has an inviting mix of high-tech spaces and contemporary décor that reflects the Old City charm. Explore all that the city has to offer from this premier location. From the Liberty Bell and the cobblestone streets of Old City to the towering skyscrapers and exciting nightlife Philadelphia is a juxtaposition of hip urban culture and America's treasured history. Meals: Breakfast and breaks are provided every day. Lunch is provided Monday and then on your own Sunday and Tuesday-Friday. Dinner is on your own every day.

CDP Exam

The CDP exam will be offered twice during the conference and training week - once on Wednesday morning and once on Friday afternoon. Test takers may not take the exam more than once in the week and payment is due prior to sitting for the exam. You must be an SDP member to take the exam and qualify for the CDP.

Networking at SDP

One of the most valuable  features of the SDP Conference and Training each year are the receptions and organized Dine Around opportunities. We provide ample opportunity for you to connect with other attendees in a relaxed social setting. Guests are invited to attend - tickets may be purchased on the registration page.

• Sunday Welcome Reception - 9/15/2019 - Wyndham Historic Philadelphia Downtown - Join us in the FDR Room in the lobby level of the host hotel for a Welcome Reception from 5:30-7:00 PM for hors d'oeuvres and an open bar to kick off the week!
• Monday Conference Reception - 9/16/2019 - Independence Beer Garden - Located right across from the Liberty Bell, this open air venue serves 40 local craft beers, wine, and cocktails. Play a round of cornhole, bocce, or ping pong while you enjoy casual food and network with colleagues. 
• Tuesday Training Reception - 9/17/2019 - Moshulu - Have you ever had a cocktail on the deck of a Tall Ship? Join us on Tuesday night for a unique reception aboard the floating restaurant Moshulu. 
• Thursday Training Reception - 9/19/2019 - Pyramid Club - Take an elevator ride up to the 52nd floor of the BNY Mellon building to enjoy our Thursday Night Reception! The Pyramid Club offers stunning views of Philadelphia from City Center. 

CPE Information

Attendees at the 2019 SDP Conference and Training can receive up to 39 CPE credits. The Sunday Training is 6 CPEs, the Conference is 11CPEs and the Extended Training is 22 CPEs. Attendees must be present for all sessions and submit their attendance sheet at the conclusion of the program in order to receive credits for the events.

The Society of Depreciation Professionals is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.learningmarket.org.

Registration Cancellation Policy

Cancellations on or before August 9, 2019 will receive a refund, less a $75 processing fee. After August 9, 2019, any fees paid for an individual who cannot attend the 2019 Annual Conference or Training will be applied to the 2020 Annual Conference or Training. Photo and Video Release

Registration and attendance at, or participation in, SDP meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to the use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions, and audiotapes of such events and activities by SDP and other third parties, including, but not limited to, the venue, the host city, and the host convention and visitors bureau. Your registration may include technology that monitors your activities throughout the meeting, such as session attendance.
